GOLF CAN DAMAGE HEARING
Doctors think golfers could be damaging their hearing by using new high-tech golf clubs that make a loud noise when they strike the ball. Medics at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital found that a man’s hearing had been affected by using a club that sounded “like a gun going off” and other golfers reported that their clubs made unbearably loud noises when hit. One said: “This is not so much a ting but a sonic boom which resonates across the course!” Doctors say players who use the new titanium clubs regularly should wear earplugs to protect their hearing.

Who’d have thought golf could hurt your ears??
