QUEUE FOR BEACH HUTS

Beach huts at a Dorset seaside resort are so popular that people camped out in freezing temperatures for a chance to rent one this summer. Avon Beach has around 350 huts with stunning views across the bay and towards the Isle of Wight. People camped in tents for up to four days (pictured) for one of two lifetime leases and 18 summer-long leases. Anne Smith, who was at the front of the queue and bought an £800-a-year lifelong lease, said: “It’s been OK as we’ve been doing it in shifts. We’ve had people to talk to, it’s not been too bad.” Another woman said: “It’s not been too bad. It got a bit cold about four this morning when it started snowing.”

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! I wouldn’t fancy camping out in this weather for ANYTHING!
