DOT'S DIARIES 2010

Wednesday 15th September

We had a thank you card from Sylva today about helping her decorate her cottage – it was clever, she’d taken a picture of what we’d done, six pictures actually, and computered them all together to make one card. There was even a picture she took of us standing all together holding up paintbrushes!! She used the timer on her camera to take it.

My hair’s white ‘cos of all the plaster dust… Mum’s got a paint splodge on her nose and we’re all grinning and wearing these all over ‘boiler suits’ she got for us to wear.

Good fun though. I did the “preparation”, which meant using this rrrrrough stuff called sandpaper to make the wood smooth, specially on the window frames. Then I “filled in” holes with splodgy grey stuff that dried white and you sandpapered that to make it smooth too.

Told Dad. He said “Right! That’s your decorating task now!” He’s pleased ‘cos he HATES all that!!
