Shame, missed Summer Fair… they spelt it ‘Fayre’ actually which I think is nicer but Genie says it’s not right ‘cos that’s the way they spelt it in the olden times! We had an argument about it and she went off going “Well that’s what I think anyway!” Made up later so that was all right.

We always do – we just look at each other and can’t help giggling!

Oh, yes the abseiling! The hardest part was walking backwards over the edge down the cliff. My legs felt trembly and I shut my eyes. But Peter my Rock Buddy said “Look at Julia holding your rope AND it’s tied on that ring in the rock.” (Big iron ring.) So I just thought “I’ll do one step at a time. One and one and one.”

So I did and I got down, took AGES, can still SEE the rock in front of me. Then everyone clapped and cheered which was so NICE!
