Doing more of my bedtime reading story for English, ‘Ollie the Octopus and His Tentative Tentacles’. Thought I’d better write something about how he tries to fix them. Got stuck then but Mum said “Why don’t you write about Ollie having weight training just like I do? That would make his tentacles stronger, and then maybe they’d be better!”

Hmmm… don’t think I want them better yet, ‘cos I’ve got a whole story to write.

Anyway I thought about what the strongest creature in the ocean with tentacles would be and then I decided it’d be a squid. Going to call him ‘Sid the Squid’ could be Ollie’s seabed weight trainer! That’s ‘cos giant squid are big enough to fight with whales and win sometimes!

But Sid won’t be a giant – he’ll just be a very strong squid who can help Ollie. Maybe...

Think I’ll make him like Fred our schoolkeeper – he could even say “Bloomin’ octopusses!” when he gets cross!!
