Gulp, Dot went.

They both hate heights you see .

Mr Mouse looked at them both and chuckled. "Yeah, that's what I thought too" he said. "But it got worse!"

"What do you mean?" asked Dot.

"Well old Brian Mallow grinned" said Mr Mouse. "Always a bad sign. Apart from seeing those big yellow teeth again, it meant something TRULY pants was coming up. And it was!"

"What did he say?" asked Wiz.

"Oh nothing at first" said Mr Mouse. "He just hovered there in that darned bling flying saucer of his looking down, turning his head to stare at us one by one. Then he said - "Jump!"

"Jump??" went Dot and Wiz together.

"Yeah, jump!" said Mr Mouse. "I was real proud of Cousin Esure though - he just looked straight back at him and went "After you, Mr Mallow!"

Dot gasped - from what Mr Mouse had been telling them, that didn't seem a very clever thing to do!

"There was this BIG silence" Mr Mouse went on. "Then Mallow laughed - not sure his laugh wasn't worse than his grin. It wasn't a nice laugh, like when you've heard a really funny joke - it was kind of a sneery sound, the kind of big put-down laugh you hear people doing when they're watching 'The Office' or 'Little Britain'. One that kind of seems to say "What an idiot YOU are, I'm so much cooler than you." That kind of laugh."

Dot nodded. She knew what Mr Mouse meant. That was just why her Mum and Dad really hated those shows.

"NYEAH ha ha, NYEAH ha ha, that was how it went. But then Mallow goes "I don't think so Mister Esure, thank you so much. But you must all jump just the same - and trust me that there'll be a recovery programme to catch you. All except one, that is."

Wiz growled. He was getting angry again! Mr Mouse held up a paw to calm him down. Then he went on.

"Mallow grinned again and then says: "You see, by coming off this cliff on the Internet you'll be breaking one of the key safety rules of the World Wide Web - you are crashing a whole programme with yourselves inside it, which is Not Allowed - Access Denied! But I can get round that, for your Fourth Test. But that's not all... as you fall you must NOT hit the Zanobots!"

"Zanobots??" asked Dot.

"Yeah Zanobots" said Mr Mouse. "I hadn't heard of them either. I know what they are now - they're tiny little machines, so small you can't see 'em, that can get into computers and fix 'em when they break. That's the idea anyway - they're still working on them in Networld."

"How small are they?" asked Wiz.

"OK, well, something that's "nano" is ONE BILLIONTH of a metre big... zanos are TEN BILLIONTH of a metre. SO, Zanobots! You only know they're there 'cos they make little dots of light - and you can only see those with special glasses. Anyway, when Mallow stopped speaking there was this kind of ZSSSS and a flap opened in the control panel of our flying saucers - and up came this kind of arm holding kind of old-fashioned sunglasses - bit like those ones your Dad's so proud of Dot!"

Dot blushed. Her Dad had bought them on holiday at this really weird shop at the seaside - he thought they were great, and he WOULD keep wearing them. So embarrassing!!!

"Kind of made us all jump" said Mr Mouse. "But when we'd got them on, we could see the Zanobots, down below the little cliff we were sitting on - swirling about all over the place. There were millions and millions of them! And you had not to hit them as you fell, or BBF - Big Blue Flash - and you were OUT of Rodent Roundup!!"
