How Dot, Wizzie and Mr Mouse saved the Eden Project - with the help of
their friend Evie Eden!

Mr Mouse was bored. He gave a great big yawn - a yawn so big that all you could see was his little pink mouth and a quivering tongue - and stretched. He hopped up onto the laptop keyboard and looked down at Wizard and Dot. It was enough to make any mouse want to stir things up - especially one who could turn himself from a computer mouse to a real mouse with a click on his own back.

Wizard was lying on Dot's bedroom rug, asleep - and dreaming. His nose twitched as he chased cheeky cats down fibre-optic alleyways. Dot was lying on her bed reading 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. Again, thought Mr Mouse.

"C'mon you guys!" said Mr Mouse. "This is boring." Dot twirled her hair absent-mindedly and turned a page. Wizard gave a brief doggy snore.

Mr Mouse sighed crossly. Then suddenly his face lit up and his whiskers gave an excited whiffle. "Got it!" he cried. "Let's go on an Internet CYBER-CHEESE HUNT! Every cheese must have a home page on the Net - why don't we go visit one?"

"Mmmm?" said Dot "When..?" Wizard lifted a lazy eyelid and flapped his feathery tail on the bedroom carpet.

"Well like NOW!" said Mr Mouse impatiently.

"Oh all right!" said Dot, closing her book with a sigh. She knew she couldn't stop the sassy little Mouse if he was all set on a new adventure on the Internet. She got up from her bed and gave Wizard a stroke. "Come on Wizzie" she said. "We won't get any peace till we go you know."

Wizard got up with a little shake and padded over to the computer table with her, and put his paws up beside where Mr Mouse was standing, arms akimbo, all ready for the off. Dot clipped Wizzie's lead on and raised her eyebrows at the impatient little mouse standing by the laptop.

"About time too!" said Mr Mouse. "Now - let's get started!" With that, he turned to the keyboard and clicked on the Internet connection. Up on the screen came the search box as usual. Mr Mouse paused for thought. "Trouble is..." he said "Which cheese...? Gouda? Cheddar? Brie? Lancashire? I know...that Dutch cheese, it's so cool...what's it called? Oh yes - Edam! Let's do it!"

With a clatter, Mr Mouse hopped from key to key - E - D - A - M (or so he thought...)

"There!" he said proudly. "Ready? There's our destination - let's go!" With a click of the Search key and a tap on his back and a whoosh and a zoom, the three friends were off again - back into their magic world of cyber space.

Little did they know what they were really heading into!
